Vertebrate X-Ray Matching

This material pairs photographs of animals with their corresponding X-ray images, providing an interesting peek inside animals (without the mess!). Children match each animal to its internal skeletal structure, and begin to grasp the defining characteristics of vertebrates – animals with backbones. Children can compare the similarities and contrasts between different vertebrate anatomies, from the delicate bones of a bird to the muscular frame of a mammal.

Control Cards are 3″x4″,

Pages are designed to be printed double sided. The cut lines are on the back so the front stays crisp and clean. The back of these cards are labeled.
